Hull City midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath was involved in a car crash near the English club's training ground Thursday, less than three weeks after teammate Sorba Thomas was involved in a similar accident on the same road.
Hull City said it was aware of images circulating on social media following a road traffic accident near its training ground and confirmed that “no one was harmed in the incident.”
Humberside Police said emergency services were called to a single-vehicle collision on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham at around 8.30 am.
Images circulating on social media showed a Mercedes, reportedly belonging to Gourna-Douath, flipped onto its side on the narrow road outside Hull's training facility.
The 23-year-old joined Hull this summer from Austrian club RB Salzburg in a €4 million ($4.7 million) deal, signing a five-year contract.
The incident came after Hull winger Thomas was involved in a crash on the same road on Sept. 11, when his car overturned onto its roof.
Thomas escaped unhurt despite significant damage to the vehicle.
He returned to action the following day, coming on as a second-half substitute and playing around 30 minutes in Hull's 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
