Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Monday that 10 servicemen had been returned from Russian captivity through Belarus as part of a special stage of the prisoner exchange process.
In a statement on Telegram, Zelenskyy said the servicemen, who served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and National Guard, had fought in the Donetsk region.
“All of them were considered missing in action. And it is very important that we managed to bring them back,” he said.
Zelenskyy thanked those involved in efforts to secure the release of Ukrainian prisoners and said authorities continued working to identify and return those still in captivity.
