Türkiye's BIST 100 down over 1% at close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the day at 12,118.29 points on Wednesday, down by 1.08%.

After starting the day at 12,231.97 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 132.39 points from the Tuesday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 12,118.29, while the daily high was 12,253.40.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 11.85 trillion Turkish liras ($240.6 billion), with a trading volume of 86 billion liras ($1.74 billion).

A total of 12 stocks on the index rose and 82 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,078.10 per ounce, and Brent crude futures traded for $106.4 as of 1645GMT.

While the US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 49.3920, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 54.9625, and the British pound traded for 65.0080.
