Türkiye’s benchmark BIST 100 index opened Friday at 13,356.72 points, down 1.13% or 153.04 points from the previous close.
The index had closed Thursday up 2.95% at 13,509.76 points, with a daily transaction volume of 266 billion liras ($5.47 billion).
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), the lira traded at 48.7850 against the US dollar, 56.0575 against the euro, and 65.2840 against the British pound.
Gold was priced at $4,390.45 per ounce, while Brent crude oil futures stood at $102.44 per barrel.
