Energy futures are in a negative trend following key Democratic gains in the US midterm elections.
Brent futures lost 0.8% to $102.7 per barrel as of 0945GMT as West Texas Intermediate (WTI) dropped 0.25% $95.8.
European gas index fell around 2% to €89.9 ($101.2) per megawatt/hour.
Heating oil prices dropped by 0.15% to $4.5 per gallon.
Precious metals trended higher, while the US dollar index initially declined following the election results, which saw Republicans lose ground in a so-called blue wave.
The outcome raised concerns over potential gridlock on Capitol Hill, with Trump warning that he would become "Mr. Veto."
